The Tuanbo Park of Tiankai Higher Education Innovation Park in Jinghai district, Tianjin, officially opened on June 21, 2025. In the year since its opening, the park has attracted 194 new enterprises.
Total tax revenue reached 4.58 million yuan ($677,947.93) in 2025, while the total operating revenue of settled enterprises hit 67.38 million yuan. The park also vitalized 25,000 square meters of idle industrial space and established four industrial funds totaling 915 million yuan.
The park brings together five core academic institutions and nine national-level innovation platforms, creating a unique ecosystem where education, science and technology, and talent cultivation converge. This integration has fostered a complete chain from basic research to commercialization.
A new industrial framework focuses on advanced healthcare, the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, innovative medical devices, and modern services.
Key players have established operations, forming a matrix of industry leaders. The park's service system features a traditional Chinese medicine patent pool, a two-billion-yuan mother fund, and targeted support policies. In 2025, the first round of policy assessments was completed.
At the World Intelligence Expo 2026, Mindray and Dymind signed agreements with the park, citing market access, business environment, and supply chain alignment as key factors.
The park is also advancing urban integration, with a comprehensive support project adding 80,000 sq m of industrial space, complementing the existing 200,000 sq m of innovation incubation and pilot-scale industrialization facilities. The park is also adjusting land-use planning to increase industrial land from 10 percent to 30 percent.
