Taitou town, Jinghai district, and Zhongle Group sign a cooperation agreement to build a fishery industrial park.
The town of Taitou in Jinghai district, Tianjin, signed a cooperation agreement on Jan 2 with Zhongle Group to jointly build the Zhongle fishery industrial park.
Construction work on the project will begin this year in Sanbao, a village in the town of Taitou, marking Tianjin's first large-scale smart and low-carbon fishery industrial park.
The 1,061 mu project will cost 1 billion yuan ($136.99 million).
The park will be divided into four main sectors: low-carbon and intelligent aquaculture; high-quality factories for deep processing of water products and central kitchens for prefabricated aquatic dishes; a global agricultural sales network; and a new-energy utilization project combining fishery aquaculture with photovoltaic power generation
It will be capable of fully automated aquaculture, with an intelligent screen controlling key values such as water temperature and oxygen content.
In addition, through the new energy utilization mode of "power generation above, aquaculture below", land resource utilization and unit profitability will be greatly increased.
After the park is opened its annual production and processing of water products such as American black bass and white shrimp will exceed 4 million tons. This will effectively create employment opportunities for over 400 people in the area and have an estimated annual output value of about 165 million yuan.
"The decision to settle in Jinghai district was based on its excellent business environment, as well as the advantages in policies, location and industrial clustering. In the future, more resources will be invested to build the city's first industrialized and intelligent aquaculture industrial park, achieving quality improvement across the entire industry chain," Zhongle Group Chairman Wang Ming said at the signing ceremony.
