The 12th calligraphy and painting exhibition of Taitou town opened in Jinghai district recently, offering residents an accessible display of local artistic creativity.

More than 50 works were showcased, creating an elegant and engaging atmosphere. The calligraphy pieces covered a wide range of traditional styles with bold strokes and fluid lines. The paintings featured landscapes, flowers, and birds, with artists depicting rural scenes and everyday life through delicate brushwork and vivid detail.

Several artists demonstrated their techniques onsite as visitors observed the creation process, watching in awe as new works took shape.

The exhibit highlighted diverse themes and forms, reflecting both artistic skill and the continuity of cultural traditions. Visitors walked through the venue, viewing, photographing, and discussing the works. Many expressed appreciation for the blend of traditional artistry and contemporary local character.

A calligraphy enthusiast from Taitou town said the works were not only impressive artistically but also displayed the vibrancy of the community. He said the opportunity to interact with artists helped deepen understanding of the craft, and he hoped there would be more such events in the future.

The exhibition provided a platform for artists to exchange ideas, while also promoting cultural engagement through forms popular with local residents. Taitou town plans to continue strengthening its cultural programs and expand activities that foster participation, learning, and community cohesion.
