Tuanbo Health City serves as a core engine for the high-quality development of Jinghai district. Encompassing approximately 210 square kilometers, its 39.66-square-kilometer western zone forms the central area.
This western zone hosts the Tuanbo Park of Tiankai Higher Education Innovation Park, hosting five universities and nine national key laboratories. The area is poised to bring together nearly 10,000 researchers and over 50,000 students, providing talent for scientific innovation in Tianjin and Jinghai.
Tuanbo Park aims to be a source for original innovation, a base for pilot-scale testing, and a cluster for the health industry. Jinghai has built a multi-level ecosystem to support this, with platforms including a municipal-level overseas entrepreneurship park.
Talent initiatives feature innovation competitions, while financial support comes from a 2 billion yuan ($288.6 million) scientific innovation fund and a 100 million yuan seed fund.
The district also fosters collaboration between research institutions, hospitals, and enterprises, facilitating access to labs and clinical trials for new medical devices.
Through this integrated model, the goal is to establish Tuanbo Park as a leading cluster for innovation in the health industry, bio-medicine, and medical devices.
