Spring brings renewed vitality. Tianjin Oves Musical Instrument, a key manufacturer of western wind instruments in Sidangkouzhong village of Caigongzhuang town in Jinghai district, is operating at full capacity to fulfill orders, develop new products, and expand markets.
Inside the workshop, production lines run efficiently from tube cutting to final inspection. Despite a challenging market affecting orders, the company is committed to quality and precision, seeking a path forward against the odds, said Kang Dexiang, its vice chairman.
Workers produce saxophones, trumpets, trombones, French horns and more for domestic and overseas markets. Meanwhile, Kang and sales manager Ding Baohua are discussing new wind instrument designs, functionality, and cost-effectiveness with designers.
To meet professional musicians' needs, the company is developing a new four-key soprano trumpet, expected in October, offering superior tone and intonation, Ding said.
As a major player in China's western wind instrument manufacturing, Oves has pursued innovation, holded multiple patents, and shifted from an original equipment manufacturer to its own brands. Its high-end euphoniums have filled a domestic market gap and are favored by professional ensembles.
Despite last year's tariff adjustments and overseas uncertainties, the company achieved stable growth. This year, it aims to expand domestic sales channels and strengthen internal circulation.
Ding said that the company will continue to focus on its core business, increase innovation and product upgrades, and keep contributing to Jinghai's instrument cluster.
With full confidence and a strong drive, all staff are racing to secure orders, expand markets, and improve quality, laying a solid foundation for high-quality development this year.
