As the May Day holiday approaches, Jinghai district is unveiling a lineup of events starting May 1. Spanning rural getaways, lakeside leisure, sports, and shopping, the program blends nature, culture, cuisine, and convenient services.
Chunguang Farm in Duliu town will host a flower garden party from May 1 to 5, featuring performances, country cuisine, and camping barbecues, along with a reading event on canal culture on May 1.
Chongtai Forest Manor in Liangtou town offers a summer camping party with space capsules, solar-term cabins, and forest concerts, while orchards in Taitou town invite visitors to pick cherries, watermelons, and melons, and experience farm activities and pet interactions.
The Ren'ai Tuanbo Lake Life Festival at the Tuanbo Lake International Leisure Expo Park will present a music festival, water sports, a robot science exhibition, a bazaar, and pet zones. Guanghe Valley Tourist Resort will hold a spring kite carnival featuring flower-goddess parades.
Sports events include the Tuanbo Lake 100-kilometer relay from May 4 to 5 and the China Road Cycling Professional League on May 10, both with cultural fairs. Throughout May, a cycling month will offer AI races and a family cycling carnival.
Visitors can also sample local specialties and traditional snacks. Travelers may take the Tianjin-Jinghai suburban railway or drive. Accommodation options range from forest capsules and farmhouses to hot-spring hotels; early booking is advised.
