A newly built 100,000-class clean workshop in Jinghai district, Tianjin, has elevated shrimp chip production at Tianjin Huaxiangyuan Food.

Workers must change into full clean suits and pass through an air shower before entering the core production area. The entire process, from raw material feeding to forming, cooling, and packaging, is fully automated and enclosed.

The company's products are now exported to South Korea and the United States, with annual export volume steadily rising.

For many, shrimp chips evoke childhood memories of the golden, crispy snacks fried during Spring Festival, carrying a strong sense of everyday life. Today, this traditional snack is undergoing a quality transformation from rustic charm to international standard.

Liu Jian, general manager of Huaxiangyuan Food, said the clean workshop is equipped with five systems for temperature control, dehumidification, disinfection, purification/filtration, and fresh air. These systems ensure stable product quality and enhance market competitiveness.

He added that the company follows the principle that taste is the foundation, safety is the bottom line, and cleanliness is the barrier. Its steam-cooked shrimp chips contain 30 percent real shrimp, delivering a crispy, savory, and memorable taste.
