The 2026 China Road Pro Cycling League (Tuanbo Health City Stage) and the 16th Tuanbo Lake Road Cycling Race kicked off on May 10 along scenic Tuanbo Lake in Jinghai district, Tianjin.
The China Road Pro Cycling League, China's only national-level men's road cycling event, was held in Tuanbo Health City for the fourth time, attracting 143 top riders from 18 teams nationwide.
The 183.9-kilometer course circled Tuanbo Lake four times, taking riders through natural landscapes and along major roads.
The 16th Tuanbo Lake Road Cycling Race set a new record with 722 participants from 28 provinces and regions, who competed in four categories along a 40-kilometer lake loop.
After intense competition, Rikunov Petr from Chengdu Intercontinental Cycling Team won the professional league title in 3 hr 45 min 57 sec.
Other winners included Yang Mingsen for Most Aggressive Rider of the Day; Lorenzo Cataldo for Overall Points and Sprint; Wang Ruidong for Best Chinese Rider; and Liu Zhicheng for Best Young Rider.
Meanwhile, supplementary events like a cycling fair, an AI powered virtual race, and an online challenge attracted thousands of participants, blending sports with local products and technology.
Moving forward, Jinghai will continue to integrate sports with agriculture, culture, tourism, and commerce to boost regional development.
